While the book has some science, it was an intense advanced read on healing your relationship with your parents to promote. However, since it falls under the 'self help' genre, I feel its also important to make some distinctions about the audience this book best serves. This book is about generational trauma and took each of them on a ride they were not expecting. This book is an important one that I'm glad that the author took the time and effort to write. The evidence is compelling: the root of these difficulties may reside in the traumas of our parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents.
